About
The Children’s Law Center of California (CLC) serves as appointed counsel for children who have been abused, neglected, or abandoned within the Los Angeles, Sacramento, and Placer County juvenile dependency courts. Established by the Superior Court in 1990 and expanded to Sacramento County in 2011, CLC’s multidisciplinary team of nearly 600 lawyers, paralegals, and investigators advocates for approximately 25,000 children, handling day‑to‑day dependency proceedings and related hearings to protect their well‑being and future success. In addition to direct representation, CLC actively contributes to local, state, and national policy initiatives aimed at systemic reform, offering staff a mission‑driven environment focused on impactful child advocacy.
