About
The Kühne Foundation is one of the largest operating foundations in the German‑speaking world, established in 1976 by the Kühne family. It champions education, training, and research in logistics and transportation, exemplified by its own Kühne Logistics University in Hamburg and the LEARN Logistics Program that builds capacity in developing and emerging countries. Through its subsidiary HELP Logistics AG, it delivers humanitarian logistics expertise to governments and aid organizations worldwide, while its medical arm runs a research campus in Davos and operates the Hochgebirgsklinik. Since 2023, the foundation has expanded into climate action, deploying logistics‑focused solutions to accelerate a low‑carbon transition, and it also supports cultural institutions across Europe.
