About

Manufacturing Renaissance (MR) is a Chicago‑based organization dedicated to advancing sustainable economic development through manufacturing. Leveraging three integrated program areas, MR works to reduce poverty, expand inclusion, and sustain middle‑class communities by delivering scalable solutions for low‑income, Black, Latinx, Indigenous, and other BIPOC populations. MR’s core services include Career Pathway Programs—Manufacturing Connect, Young Manufacturers Association, and Instructors for Advanced Manufacturing—that train and place youth and young adults in advanced manufacturing jobs; Policy and Advocacy through the Chicagoland Manufacturing Renaissance Council, which convenes stakeholders to shape pro‑manufacturing policies; and Economic Development assistance for small‑ and medium‑size manufacturers, focusing on ownership succession and support for BIPOC and women entrepreneurs. These initiatives provide direct workforce development, technical assistance, and thought leadership that create jobs, strengthen local supply chains, and foster inclusive community growth.
