About

The Northwest Climate Adaptation Science Center (NW CASC) delivers science‑based solutions that enable regional resource managers to make climate‑smart decisions for fish, wildlife, water, and land stewardship across the Pacific Northwest. As a collaborative effort between the U.S. Geological Survey and a consortium of universities, tribal colleges, and the Affiliated Tribes of Northwest Indians, NW CASC conducts applied research, coordinates a Research Fellowship Program, and directs funding to address climate risks to natural and cultural resources. Located within the Climate Impacts Group at the University of Washington, the Center serves as the regional hub for one of nine Climate Adaptation Science Centers nationwide, working with stakeholders to set research priorities and translate scientific findings into actionable management strategies.
