OPVStability is a research initiative dedicated to advancing organic photovoltaic (OPV) technology by addressing the critical issue of long-term stability. The team of ten PhD researchers employs a multidisciplinary approach that combines high-throughput experimentation, synchrotron-based analytics, and machine-learning-driven material discovery to develop next-generation OPV designs with superior durability. By integrating low-cost roll-to-roll manufacturing potential with efficiencies approaching 19%, OPVStability aims to make organic solar cells commercially viable and environmentally sustainable. Supported by the EU Horizon Europe MSCA-DN program, the project also offers an intensive training program that equips early-career scientists with cutting-edge research skills and industry-relevant experience.
