Its members span manufacturing, shipbuilding and repair, cargo shipping, marinas, commercial and sport fishing, energy, cruise operations, aerospace, hospitality (including 18 hotels, 100+ restaurants, and retail), as well as the U.S. Navy and Coast Guard. The organization’s core mission is to boost trade, recreation, commerce, and tourism while safeguarding the Bay’s environment. By coordinating these diverse stakeholders, the Working Waterfront drives significant economic impact for the San Diego region, supports sustainable development, and offers a dynamic environment for professionals seeking careers in maritime, logistics, hospitality, energy, aerospace, and related sectors.
