About
SaskPower is Saskatchewan’s provincially owned utility, delivering electricity to more than 550,000 customers across a vast, sparsely populated region. With a workforce of over 3,100 full‑time employees, the company oversees a diversified generation portfolio—including coal, natural gas, hydro, wind, solar, and power purchase agreements—that provides a total capacity of approximately 5,930 MW. SaskPower also manages an extensive transmission and distribution network of over 160,000 km of lines, 59 high‑voltage switching stations, and 200 substations, with interconnections to neighboring provinces and the United States. The utility’s integrated operations and $13 billion in assets enable it to offer reliable, sustainable power while supporting the province’s economic and environmental goals.
