Special Olympics Deutschland in Niedersachsen e.V. is the German branch of the world’s largest, IOC‑recognized movement that empowers people with intellectual and multiple disabilities through sport. The organization offers year‑round training and competition across a wide range of Olympic sports, fostering physical fitness, self‑confidence, and societal participation for children and adults alike. With a network of 14 state associations and over 1,200 member clubs, it hosts more than 220 regional and national events each year, including the alternating summer and winter games, and provides individualized performance groups that enable every athlete to compete for medals and personal bests.
