Teqball is a rapidly expanding, football-based sport played on a uniquely curved table that emphasizes skill, agility, and sportsmanship without physical contact. Founded in Hungary in 2012 by Gábor Borsányi, György Gattyán, and Viktor Huszár, the sport is governed by the International Teqball Federation (FITEQ), which currently oversees 154 national federations, 6,000 clubs, and more than 2,500 certified referees worldwide. With over a million players across more than 100 countries, Teqball has become a staple training tool for elite football teams and a key contender for Olympic inclusion, recognized by three continental Olympic associations and GAISF. The sport’s inclusive, gender-equitable rules and its focus on pure football technique set it apart as a dynamic, injury-free alternative that attracts athletes of all ages and skill levels.
