The Water Energy Education Alliance (WEEA) is a statewide coalition that creates and expands career pathways for California students in the water and energy sectors. Coordinated by the Municipal Water District of Orange County, the Alliance unites more than 260 professional organizations—including water and energy agencies, school districts, colleges, technical trade schools, and workforce advocates—to develop education programs, internships, and job opportunities that prepare students for industry‑focused roles. WEEA’s 2024‑25 sponsors, such as the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California, Los Angeles Department of Water & Power, and several regional water districts and educational foundations, support its mission to ensure a skilled, diverse workforce for California’s critical water and energy infrastructure.
