The CNE, often affectionately referred to as The Ex, is Canada’s largest community event and one of the top ten agricultural fairs in North America, attracting approximately 1.6 million visitors annually over the course of its 18-day run. With something for everyone, the CNE offers a wide range of attractions and interactive entertainment experiences including: concerts, midway rides and games, shopping, exhibits, tech and gaming hubs, food and wacky treats!

Responsibilities
Daily set up, facilitation, and tear down of activations
Engage guests to participate in and provide information about the activation
Provide information to guests about activations in an enthusiastic and informative manner
Supervise area to encourage safe operation as well as to protect against theft, loss, and damages
Manage activation capacities and queue systems to maintain flow of guests
Ensure adequate availability/quantity of activity supplies and restock when necessary
Ensure the program areas are properly maintained and presentable at all times
Answer basic questions from guests regarding programming, attractions, facilities, services (i.e. location of nearest washrooms, bank machines, food vendors, Found Children, First Aid)
Miscellaneous duties for the operations of the area
Special Conditions
Ability to work in environments with low lights, flashing lights, strobe lights, high noise volumes, and moving projections
Ability to stand or remain in stationary position for extended periods of time
Ability to work indoors for extended periods of time
Comfortable with loud noises and crowds
Comfortable in instructing, aiding, and facilitating simple tech-based activations
Comfortable in the troubleshooting, resetting, and monitoring of simple tech-based activations
Required to dress in appropriate uniform

Required Qualifications
Minimum Age Requirement: 14 years
Advanced customer service, problem-solving, communication, leadership, and staff management experience required
Available to work flexible hours all 18 days of the fair (August 21 – September 7, 2026), including evenings, weekends, and Labour Day
Available to attend mandatory one day of staff orientation and one day of staff training, taking place between August 4 – August 20, 2026. Exact dates to be confirmed
