2nd shift CNC Laser Cutting Operator starting at $17.50/hr. (or higher) depending on experience
Anchor Fabrication has immediate openings for a highly motivated Laser Operator’s in our Laser Department.
Position Summary:
The Laser Operator’s role is to cut various metal stock on a CNC Laser, meeting or exceeding customer specs and productivity requirements by reading blueprints and ensuring correct machine settings. They are highly motivated and have a desire to work in a fast paced, quality centered environment. This role is vital to ensuring our customers’ needs are consistently met, promoting our company’s continued strong national growth.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None
Internal Relationships: All Departments
External Relationships: Occasional and incidental contact with customers or prospective customers

Primary Responsibilities:
- Operate a TruLaser(fiber/Co2) in a proficient manner.
- Plan sequence of operations and review blueprints to ensure precision
- Establish proper stop location, adjust laser beam focal point
- Make proper setups for cutting operations
- Set up, maintain and operate laser
- Pay attention to machine at all times to ensure it is working properly
- Accurately project completion of work orders at work center
- Perform prescribed maintenance as required
- Complete assignments on-time and correctly
- Continually maintain a clean working environment
- Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor
- Perform other related operations as required or directed. May work at different workstations as production needs require.
