Responsible for performing various functions associated with the Carton Warehouse --including but not limited to setting up lines each day by assuring that the required poly film and corrugated boxes are at the correct production line on time.

  1. Set-up lines each day by assuring that the required poly films and corrugated boxes are at the correct production line on time.
  2. Use the next day’s production schedule to determine what corrugated boxes are needed in addition to poly films. Make a list of items required and if not available in the carton warehouse, coordinate to get items delivered from outside warehouses.
  3. At the carton warehouse and the additional warehouse, load/unload boxes and poly.
  4. Keep inventory of all corrugated and poly items at the carton warehouse and other warehouses.
  5. Design and produce corrugated print dies for all products printed inhouse. Print boxes for the Production Department as required. Order blank cartons as needed for printing.
  6. Instructs and trains employees in their work area.
  7. Directs line personnel to positions, as necessary.
  8. Informs Department Supervisor of any problems that may arise.
  9. Helps control quality and quantity of work performed by their group and works to maintain a continuous flow of production.
  10. Sets up and ensures that the proper codes are used for products in their area.
  11. Maintains line speeds and goals set up by management.
  12. Completes all necessary paperwork needed within area of responsibility.
  13. Reports any mechanical and/or safety problems to the Department Supervisor immediately.
  14. Responsible for physically lifting up to 100 pounds as required.
  15. Adheres to common safety practices or rules, including the wearing of protective equipment as required.
  16. Adheres to plant hygiene standards to ensure high product integrity.
  17. Keeps work area clean in accordance with good housekeeping practices.
  18. Responsible for the execution of food safety, legality and quality policies and procedures within the scope of the job responsibilities such as but not limited to: GMP’s, HACCP, food safety, product quality, food security, plant security, etc.
  19. Performs other duties as assigned by the Production Supervisor.
