6 Months Renewable Locum Phlebotomist [CENTRAL] #HZTZ

Location: Napier

Working days/hours:

Monday to Saturday, 8:00AM – 1:00PM / 8:30AM – 1:30PM

(subject to staggered scheduling)

Pay:

Certified Phlebos & ENs: $23/hr

Staff Nurses: $26/hr

Job scope:

• Perform blood collection procedures (venepuncture/phlebotomy) for patients in hospital, private clinic, and ward settings.
• Ensure proper patient identification and follow specimen collection protocols.
• Label, handle, and prepare blood samples accurately for laboratory processing.
• Maintain proper infection control and safety standards during procedures.
• Provide professional and compassionate care to patients during blood-taking procedures.
• Support ad hoc duties related to phlebotomy services when required.
• Be comfortable travelling within the hospital and occasionally to nearby clinics/wards for blood collection assignments.

Requirements:

• At least 1 year of experience in phlebotomy
• Must be fully vaccinated
