Detailed Responsibilities:

  • Reading and Interpreting Blueprints:Understanding project specifications and requirements from technical drawings.
  • Material Preparation:Measuring, cutting, and shaping metal parts using various tools and machinery.
  • Welding Techniques:Employing techniques like MIG, TIG, and Stick welding to join metal components.
  • Equipment Operation:Setting up, maintaining, and safely operating welding equipment.
  • Inspection and Testing:Ensuring welds meet quality standards, including visual inspection and potentially non-destructive testing (NDT).
  • Safety Compliance:Adhering to safety regulations, wearing personal protective equipment (PPE), and maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Collaboration:Working with other tradespeople and team members.
  • 6G Specific:Welding in a fixed 45-degree position (6G) where the welder does not rotate the pipe.
