A2P SMS Account Manager

\n We are looking for a commercially driven A2P SMS Account Manager to manage and expand a portfolio of enterprise customers, messaging aggregators, telecom operators, and strategic partners.
\n <\/div>\n
\n This is a full\-time remote position that combines account management, business development, and revenue growth. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining strong client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, increasing messaging traffic, and driving adoption of Direct7's communication solutions, including A2P SMS, WhatsApp Business API, Viber Business Messages, and verification services.

\n You will act as the primary commercial contact for your accounts, working closely with clients and internal teams to maximize customer success, retention, and long\-term revenue growth.

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of enterprise customers, messaging aggregators, telecom operators, and strategic partners.

  • Develop strong relationships with key decision\-makers and stakeholders across client organizations.
    <\/li>\n
  • Drive revenue growth by increasing messaging volumes and expanding customer engagement across Direct7's product portfolio.
    <\/li>\n
  • Identify and develop upselling and cross\-selling opportunities for SMS, WhatsApp Business API, Viber, Verify API, Number Lookup, and other communication solutions.

  • Prospect, qualify, and onboard new customers and strategic partners.
    <\/li>\n
  • Negotiate commercial agreements, pricing, and routing strategies to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction.
    <\/li>\n
  • Monitor account performance, traffic trends, and customer activity to identify growth opportunities.
    <\/li>\n
  • Collaborate with technical, operations, and carrier teams to ensure seamless service delivery and issue resolution.
    <\/li>\n
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments to uncover new business opportunities.
    <\/li>\n
  • Conduct regular business reviews with clients and present performance reports, recommendations, and growth strategies.
    <\/li>\n
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, opportunities, forecasts, and pipeline activity within CRM systems.

  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, carrier requirements, and messaging best practices.

  • Represent Direct7 Networks at industry events, conferences, and partner meetings when required.

      \n
    • 3\u20135 years of experience in A2P SMS, CPaaS, telecommunications, messaging, or a related industry.
      <\/li>\n
    • Proven experience in account management, business development, sales, or partner management.
      <\/li>\n
    • Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding revenue, growth, or account performance targets.
      <\/li>\n
    • Strong understanding of the A2P SMS ecosystem, messaging aggregators, telecom operators, and messaging routes.
      <\/li>\n
    • Experience managing enterprise customers and strategic partnerships.
      <\/li>\n
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and relationship\-building skills.
      <\/li>\n
    • Strong analytical and commercial mindset with the ability to interpret performance and revenue data.
      <\/li>\n
    • Knowledge of global messaging regulations, compliance requirements, and industry best practices.
      <\/li>\n
    • Experience using CRM systems, reporting tools, Excel, and messaging platforms.
      <\/li>\n
    • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while managing multiple priorities and accounts.

      • Existing network within the A2P SMS, CPaaS, telecom wholesale, or mobile operator ecosystem.

      • Experience selling WhatsApp Business API, Viber Business Messages, RCS, or other business messaging solutions.
        <\/li>\n
      • Familiarity with international messaging regulations and carrier requirements across multiple regions.
        <\/li>\n
      • Experience working with messaging aggregators, wholesale telecom providers, or enterprise communication platforms.
        <\/li>\n
      • Proven ability to identify and develop new business opportunities within existing and prospective accounts.
