The Academic Quality and Curriculum Assurance Officer is a junior academic governance role that supports the integrity, compliance, and continuous improvement of the institution\u2019s academic programmes.<\/span>

The role provides operational support to the Academic Quality function by assisting with curriculum assurance, quality systems, moderation processes, programme reviews, and audit readiness. Working closely with faculties, moderators, and academic governance structures, the incumbent ensures that academic offerings remain compliant, well documented, and defensible during internal and external reviews.<\/span>

2.\tModeration and Assessment Quality Processes<\/span><\/span><\/b>

\u2022\tCoordinate moderation processes across programmes, ensuring scripts, papers, and memoranda are properly reviewed.<\/span>

\u2022\tLiaise with internal and external moderators to ensure timely completion of moderation tasks.<\/span>

\u2022\tCheck and track moderation reports and ensure feedback is communicated to faculties.<\/span>

\u2022\tSupport quality checks on assessment papers and memoranda before release to students.<\/span>

\u2022\tAssist in the allocation and tracking of markers and moderators for modules and programmes.<\/span>

\u2022\tAssist with the preparation and organisation of documentation required for new programme development and curriculum updates.<\/span>

\u2022\tEnsure that curriculum documentation reflects applied learning, digital pedagogies, and regulatory alignment.<\/span>

4.\tProgramme Monitoring, Reviews, and Continuous Improvement<\/span><\/span><\/b>

\u2022\tCollate student performance data, external examiner feedback, and programme information for review purposes.<\/span>

\u2022\tSupport the preparation of academic review reports and inputs into the Self Evaluation Report.<\/span>

\u2022\tSupport preparation of documentation for CHE, DHET, and SAQA submissions.<\/span>

\u2022\tEnsure programme records and documentation are audit ready at all times.<\/span>

6.\tStaff Allocation and Faculty Liaison<\/span><\/span><\/b>

\u2022\tAssist in coordinating the allocation of full time and sessional academic staff to programmes and modules.<\/span>

\u2022\tMaintain accurate records of academic staff involvement across programmes.<\/span>

\u2022\tLiaise with faculties to ensure appropriate staffing alignment for programme delivery.<\/span>
