Academic Senior Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead academic planning across programmes, including GCE O-Level, Cambridge curriculum, or other international pathways.

  • Develop structured academic calendars, term plans, and delivery schedules aligned with regulatory and awarding body requirements.

  • Ensure consistency and alignment of curriculum delivery, assessment timelines, and academic milestones.

  • Support new programme setup, including subject mapping, contact hours planning, and resource allocation.

  • Oversee master timetable planning across all programmes, ensuring efficient use of classrooms, teachers, and resources.

  • Manage class allocations, teacher workloads, and scheduling adjustments.

  • Ensure contingency planning for timetable disruptions (e.g. teacher absence, room changes).

  • Oversee day-to-day academic operations to ensure smooth classroom delivery.

  • Establish and enforce standardised classroom management practices and academic procedures.

  • Monitor lesson delivery, attendance coordination, and academic discipline in collaboration with Student Services.

  • Ensure academic processes align with SSG/EduTrust requirements and internal SOPs.

  • Monitor teaching quality, assessment practices, and academic documentation.

  • Support audit preparation and ensure proper academic records, evidence, and reporting are maintained.

  • Identify gaps in current academic structure, planning, and delivery, and propose improvements.

  • Provide guidance to teachers on curriculum delivery, assessment standards, and academic expectations.

  • Develop systems and workflows to improve efficiency, consistency, and scalability of academic operations.

  • Support management in long-term academic planning, including programme expansion and capacity planning.

Key Requirements

  • Strong familiarity with GCE O-Level /A-Level or other international curricula

  • Proven experience in academic operations, timetable planning, and programme coordination.

  • Strong organisational and planning skills with the ability to structure and streamline processes.

  • Strategic thinking with hands-on execution ability.

  • Able to work across departments and bring structure to a fast-paced or developing academic environment.
