Access Control Coordinator

The Security team is responsible for the coordination of building and asset physical security and access control systems across the organisation.<\/span>
<\/p>


<\/div>

Reporting to the Security Systems Lead, the Access Control Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the delivery, coordination, and continuous improvement of access control systems. The role combines operational management, data analysis, stakeholder coordination, and access control project delivery support to ensure secure, efficient, and compliant access management across Uisce Éireann.<\/span>

The successful candidate will support system performance reporting, maintain accurate records, develop and manage documentation, and work closely with internal teams and external providers to monitor and manage access across the organisation. The role will also contribute to the planning and execution of access control projects, supporting successful implementation across sites.<\/span>

Main Duties and Responsibilities:<\/span>

  • Coordinate day\-to\-day access control operations, ensuring accurate data management,<\/span>
    <\/p><\/li><\/ul>

    record\-keeping, and timely service delivery<\/span>
    <\/p>

    • Process access and system requests for employees and contractors, ensuring compliance with security protocols<\/span>
      <\/p><\/li>

    • Support joiner, mover, leaver processes in line with governance and compliance requirements<\/span>
      <\/p><\/li>

    • Maintain system data, records, and stock levels to support effective operational control<\/span>
      <\/p><\/li>

    • Act as a central point of contact for internal stakeholders and external partners, ensuring<\/span>
      <\/p><\/li><\/ul>

      effective communication and timely issue resolution<\/span>
      <\/p>

      • Manage and prioritise workflows and requests, maintaining high standards of accuracy,<\/span>
        <\/p><\/li><\/ul>

        compliance, and service delivery<\/span>
        <\/p>

        • Coordinate suppliers and services to support both operational activities and project delivery<\/span>
          <\/p><\/li>

        • Support the delivery of access control projects, including system rollouts, upgrades, and site implementations<\/span>
          <\/p><\/li>

        • Assist in coordinating project activities, tracking progress, and escalating risks or issues as required<\/span>
          <\/p><\/li>

        • Participate in on\-site rollout clinics, supporting users and ensuring successful implementation<\/span>
          <\/p><\/li>

        • Analyse system data and performance trends, producing reports and operational metrics to support decision\-making<\/span>
          <\/p><\/li>

        • Maintain data accuracy through validation, monitoring, and regular review<\/span>
          <\/p><\/li>

        • Provide system support, including issue resolution, data cleansing, and ongoing maintenance<\/span>
          <\/p><\/li>

        • Identify risks, inefficiencies, and process gaps, contributing to continuous improvement and more efficient ways of working<\/span>
          <\/p><\/li>

        • Contribute to system enhancements, automation initiatives, and process improvement activities<\/span>
          <\/p><\/li>

        • Develop, maintain, and review SOPs and process documentation, ensuring consistency and compliance<\/span>
          <\/p><\/li>

        • Ensure systems and processes align with audit, governance, and security requirements<\/span>
          <\/p><\/li><\/ul>

          Knowledge, Skills and Experience:<\/span>
          <\/p>


          <\/div>
          • Minimum of 3 years\u2019 experience in an administrative, operational, or project support role<\/span>
            <\/p><\/li>

          • Third\-level qualification desirable<\/span>
            <\/p><\/li>

          • Strong organisational and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple<\/span>
            <\/p><\/li><\/ul>

            • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels<\/span>
