Accident On-Call Coordinator – Nights & Weekends

Schedule: 4 Days On / 4 Days Off

This is a remote position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to and document accident and incident calls, ensuring timely reporting and escalation to the appropriate internal departments.
  • Communicate directly with drivers, law enforcement, and other emergency personnel during active accident scenes.
  • Conduct timely investigations of accidents and gather critical information to support claims and safety processes.
  • Coordinate with insurance adjusters and other third-party representatives as needed.
  • Arrange for hazardous materials cleanup and other emergency response services when required.
  • Monitor and respond to accident- and incident-related email communications from internal departments.
  • Utilize company systems, including AS400, Tenstreet, and other proprietary software, to accurately document, track, and report accident information.
  • Maintain communication with drivers and internal departments regarding accident reporting, safety procedures, and follow-up actions.
  • Review accident details to determine when post-accident drug and alcohol testing is required and ensure appropriate escalation.
  • Identify accidents involving critical injuries or fatalities and immediately escalate in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential records while ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in Safety, Transportation, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in transportation safety, fleet operations, claims administration, dispatch, or administrative support is preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and experience using AS400, Tenstreet, or similar transportation management systems.
  • Basic knowledge of DOT, FMCSA, and OSHA regulations.
  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to remain calm and professional during emergency situations.
  • Proven problem-solving abilities and sound judgment in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.
  • Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
