About the Opportunity

We're hiring an Account Executive focused on our Data & Intelligence practice.

This is the foundational layer of modern enterprise AI: the data platforms, knowledge architecture, context engineering, and semantic infrastructure that agents and humans reason from. You'll lead complex sales cycles with enterprise buyers investing in this foundation, selling consulting and implementation engagements that range from focused assessments to large, multi-phase data programs.

This is an entrepreneurial, full-cycle role. You'll originate your own pipeline, shape opportunities, and close deals from first conversation through signed statement of work. This practice is growing and there's real market to develop. We're looking for someone who finds that energizing.

This is a remote role open to candidates based in Canada.

Responsibilities

  • Originate and close new business across data platform modernization, knowledge architecture, context engineering, and enterprise data consulting engagements.
  • Lead discovery conversations that connect client data challenges to measurable business outcomes and build the case for change.
  • Develop and execute full sales cycles from prospecting through proposal, negotiation, and early delivery handoff.
  • Manage complex buying groups and multi-stakeholder decision processes using structured frameworks such as MEDDIC.
  • Partner with delivery and technical teams to shape solutions and develop statements of work.
  • Co-sell with technology partners in the data and AI ecosystem to generate and expand pipeline.
  • Leverage AI tools to drive efficiency across your sales motion, from prospecting and outreach through pipeline management and reporting.
  • Maintain accurate forecasting and consistent performance against revenue targets.
  • Occasional travel within North America required.

Skills and Qualifications

  • 4+ years of enterprise B2B sales experience in data platforms, data consulting, analytics, knowledge management, or adjacent services and systems integration.
  • Proven ability to close complex, multi-month engagements at 6- and sometimes 7-figure deal sizes.
  • Domain fluency in data architecture, data platforms, knowledge management, semantic search, or AI data infrastructure; credible with a CDO, Head of Data, or enterprise architect without heavy technical backup.
  • Experience selling to executive stakeholders including CDO, CTO, CIO, VP Data, and VP Digital, and navigating multi-threaded buying groups.
  • Proven ability to originate pipeline independently and build traction in a developing practice area.
  • Familiarity with structured sales frameworks such as MEDDIC.
  • Experience developing statements of work and collaborating with delivery teams on scope and risk alignment.
  • Comfortable using AI tools in your own sales motion: automation, prospecting, outreach, and pipeline management. You understand where AI creates leverage and where human judgment still wins.
  • Highly self-directed with the ability to build momentum and operate with discipline in ambiguous environments.
  • Based in Canada; eligible to work remotely

Is This Role a Fit for You?

You’ll thrive in this role if you:

  • You've built pipeline and closed deals in the data consulting or data services space and know the buyer personas, objections, and decision dynamics cold.
  • You're energized by building something. This practice is growing and you want real ownership of that trajectory.
  • You can run a complex, multi-threaded sale and keep momentum without losing control of the process.
  • You're excited by the moment we're in: AI, customer experience, and enterprise data are colliding to shift how consumers discover and buy. You see that as a revenue opportunity, not background noise.
  • You take ownership end-to-end and operate with discipline, even when the playbook isn't fully written yet.

Compensation and Hiring Transparency

  • Expected Compensation (Canada): $110,000–$130,000 CAD annualized base salary. This stated range does not include any benefits or variable compensation, which are also a component of this role. Orium lists this range in good faith, reflecting expected compensation for this role in the specified locations as of this posting. Final offers consider education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, location, internal equity, and business needs.
  • Use of AI in Hiring: To keep the process efficient and focused on human connection, we use AI-enabled and automated tools for tasks like candidate communications and scheduling, interview note-taking, and summarizing feedback for hiring teams. Our recruiters and hiring managers review all information, and humans make every hiring decision.
  • Vacancy Status: This posting is for an existing vacancy we are actively hiring for.

Benefits and Perks

  • Flexible schedule of full-time hours with a remote-first setup—focus on results, not where you work.
  • Ongoing opportunities for professional development, including certifications, conferences, and in-house mentorship.
  • Dedicated “Awesome time” for personal growth, experimentation, or independent projects.
  • Comprehensive health and wellness benefits, including medical, dental, parental top-up, mental health support, and an EAP.
  • Minimum vacation policy and flexible work options.

Performance and Growth Expectations

We emphasize accountability for outcomes, but autonomy in activities. Your work will be measured across a number of data points (peer, leader & project team feedback) and will also be measured on the basis of client and user satisfaction. Your growth path is in your hands— you’ll have ongoing meetings with your leader to help determine your path, but your progress will be based on what you hope to achieve and how you choose to access the resources available to you.

Committed to an Inclusive Workplace

We are committed to fostering an inclusive and accessible environment as we build a workforce that reflects the diversity of the community in which we live, including those with disabilities. We are dedicated to providing accommodations in all parts of the hiring process in accordance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act and the Ontario Human Rights Code. If you require any accommodation, we will work with you to meet your needs.

Committed to Social and Environmental Stewardship

Orium is committed to promoting and working towards a more socially and environmentally sustainable future. All employees are expected to make decisions and take actions in relation to their role and work that follow through on this commitment.
