About the Role:

Are you a sales professional looking to make an impact in the media market? An opportunity has arisen for a self-motivated Account Manager to drive sales with new and existing accounts for advertising and content marketing sales within the engineering and physics market. Primary responsibilities include prospecting for new business, managing existing account relationships and proposing solutions from across the AIP (American Institute of Physics) and IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) portfolio of products to support our customers in achieving their marketing goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Acquiring new customers, building and managing strong relationships with clients
  • Must be willing to travel frequently - expected to attend regular key business meetings and tradeshows
  • Upsell existing accounts for growth within your assigned book of business
  • Develop strong internal relationships with key stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve sales targets and the delivery of profitable sales growth
  • Emphasis on selling across the physics and engineering vendor space
  • Strong understanding of advertising concepts and digital ad solutions
  • Effective communication skills (verbal and written)

About you

We are seeking a skilled, motivated and results-driven Account Manager based in our Hoboken Office, or remote, to manage and grow our customer base advertising in our portfolio of advertising & content marketing solutions.

You will have a proven track record in sales, excellent presentation, communication and relationship building skills. You will also have a sound understanding of the marketer and media buyer personas and the tools they use to achieve their objectives.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years’ experience in successfully prospecting, winning new business and managing accounts
  • Proven hunter with exceptional new business acumen - driving new logo acquisition
  • Strong knowledge of digital advertising and content marketing solutions
  • Experience working with Managers, Directors, Product Managers in technical marketing roles
  • A high level of accountability to achieve growth
  • Skilled negotiator and communicator
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Strong CRM/pipeline management and accurate sales forecasting
  • Time management and an ability to work autonomously
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (or equivalent experience)

We are committed to fair, transparent pay, and we strive to provide competitive compensation in addition to a comprehensive benefits package. The range below represents Wiley's good faith and reasonable estimate of the base pay for this role at the time of posting roles either in the United Kingdom, Canada or USA. It is anticipated that most qualified candidates will fall within the range, however the ultimate salary offered for this role may be higher or lower and will be set based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors, including but not limited to, geographic location, skills, and competencies.
