Job Description

- Position Title: Accountant
- Working Location: Tuas (Company transport provided)
- Working Hours: 5 Days, Monday – Friday (8am – 5pm)
- Salary Package: Basic Salary + Transport Allowance + AWS
- Duration: Permanent
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and complete accounting records in compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, management reports, and financial analyses to support business decision-making.
- Perform month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts, bank accounts, and intercompany balances, ensuring timely resolution of discrepancies.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoice verification, payment processing, billing, collections, and account maintenance.
- Monitor financial performance by analyzing variances, trends, and key financial indicators, providing recommendations for improvement.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, financial forecasts, and cost-control initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and profitability.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, statutory requirements, and financial reporting standards, including the preparation and submission of GST/VAT and other regulatory filings.
- Coordinate and support internal and external audits by preparing schedules, documentation, and responding to audit inquiries.
- Maintain fixed asset registers, oversee depreciation schedules, and monitor inventory and spare parts accounting to ensure accurate asset and inventory records.

- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, or equivalent are an advantage.
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably with exposure to full-set accounts and financial reporting.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, taxation, and statutory compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics or similar platforms) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
