Accountant (9-months contract)

This is a remote position.<\/p>\n

\n

• Managing day\-to\-day accounting operations and handles full sets of accounts which cover General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivables, Inventories and Fixed Assets <\/span>
  <\/p><\/li>\n

• Prepares monthly consolidated P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash flow statements, as well as investor reporting <\/span>
  <\/p><\/li>\n

• Utilising accounting software and financial tools (e.g., Netsuite, Excel) to streamline processes and maintain accurate financial records.<\/span>
  <\/p><\/li>\n

• Conducting financial analysis and providing insights to management for improved financial performance and decision\-making.<\/span>
  <\/p><\/li>\n

• Work on monthly close schedules, as well as the monthly reconciliations <\/span>
  <\/p><\/li>\n

• Monitoring and managing cash flow activities, maintaining cash disbursement/receipt controls and identifying cash flow issues<\/span>
  <\/p><\/li>\n

• Implementing best practices in accounting processes and policies and identifying areas for process improvement and efficiency enhancement within the accounting function.<\/span>
  <\/p><\/li>\n

• Collaborating with cross\-functional teams, such as operations and other departments, to gather necessary information and ensure alignment on financial goals.<\/span>
  <\/p><\/li>\n

• Coordinating with external auditors and supporting the annual audit process.<\/span>
  <\/p><\/li>\n

• Undertaking additional tasks and projects as assigned by the FM to support company goals and objectives.<\/span>

  Requirements<\/h3>\n

  \n

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional qualification is preferred.<\/span>
    <\/p><\/li>\n

  • Proven experience (2\-3 years) as an Accountant, preferably in a retail company environment.<\/span>
    <\/p><\/li>\n

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices and financial reporting.<\/span>
    <\/p><\/li>\n

  • Proficient in using accounting software and tools to manage financial data effectively.<\/span>
    <\/p><\/li>\n

  • Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.<\/span>
    <\/p><\/li>\n

  • Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast\-paced environment.<\/span>
    <\/p><\/li>\n

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross\-functional teams.<\/span>
    <\/p><\/li>\n
