Overview

Central Maine Healthcare is an integrated healthcare delivery system serving 400,000 people living in central, western and Midcoastal Maine. CMH's hospital facilities include Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, Bridgton Hospital and Rumford Hospital. CMH also supports Central Maine Medical Group, a primary and specialty care practice organization. Other system services include the Central Maine Heart and Vascular Institute, a regional trauma program, LifeFlight of Maine's southern Maine base, the Central Maine Comprehensive Cancer Center and other high-quality clinical services.

Responsibilities

The Accountant is responsible for maintaining a log of all of the journal entries and preparing the majority of the journal entries in the general ledger, analyzing appropriate balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis, calculating and reconciling depreciation of all the fixed assets accounts, preparing bank reconciliation on a monthly basis, and preparing annual work papers for year-end audits.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1. Bachelor degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent required 2. Three to Five (3-5) years hospital/healthcare accounting/finance experience preferred 3. Proficient in business software applications 4. Working knowledge of windows based personal computers 5. Current CPA Preferred
