Accountant

Responsibilities

Overseas Subsidiaries

· Liaise with overseas accounting firms for the preparation of financial statements for overseas subsidiaries.

· Prepare group reporting templates for overseas subsidiaries for submission to the Group for consolidation.

· Prepare annual budgets for overseas subsidiaries.

· Handle payments and staff claims.

· Liaise with overseas accounting and professional firms to ensure tax (income tax, VAT, withholding tax, etc.) and statutory compliance are done promptly.

· Assist the Finance Manager in liaising with auditors, bankers, lawyers, and relevant statutory bodies and authorities for the setup of overseas entities.

Singapore Entity

· Prepare financial statements.

· Manage compliance matters, including GST, withholding tax, income tax, and statutory filings.

· Liaise with colleagues in China, internal auditors, bankers, lawyers, and relevant statutory bodies and authorities.

· Assist in reviewing business contracts from a financial perspective.

General

· Perform any other ad hoc duties as assigned.

Requirements

· Diploma or Degree in Accountancy, or a professional accounting qualification.

· Prior experience liaising with overseas professionals is an advantage, but not mandatory.

· Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese, to communicate effectively with colleagues and professionals in China and overseas subsidiaries.

· Willingness to learn, research new matters, and solve problems proactively.

· Able to work independently and collaboratively, with strong attention to detail.

· Candidates with at least 3 years of experience in mid-tier or Big 4 audit firms are encouraged to apply.

· Able to start immediately or on short notice.
