Accountant
Key Responsibilities
- Managing accounting and ensure the accuracy and timely submission of monthly and year-end management reports and analysis by reviewing submissions from subordinates.
- Preparation of budgets and forecasts, collaborate cross-functionally with HODs to support and align financial plans with business objectives.
- Strong in analysis of financial numbers; and to highlight any discrepancies or issues.
- Strong relevant accounting knowledge and updates of relevant Accounting Standards and company policy to ensure books are maintained in compliance and order.
- Review and ensure tax compliance for activities including GST and corporate tax computation and tax-related documentation.
- Ensure compliance with group policies and local statutory requirements.
- Providing commentaries on operational performance and support operational planning, operations, and implementation of financial and internal controls.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the implementation of best practices; and this may include review of policies and continual process re-engineering.
- Provide support and guidance to the finance team, fostering a collaborative and productive working environment.
- Assist in treasury and bank related matters including cashflow forecast.

Technical Competencies
- Proficiency in IT Systems and Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
Education and Experience:
- Minimum Degree or Diploma in relevant disciplines
- 3 - 5 years of relevant working experience in similar sectors
- Relevant finance experience in the Social Service sector would be an advantage.
