Accountant

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the monthly closing and reporting including a sub-group consolidation financial reporting and ensuring accurate and timely month closing.

  • Perform detailed variance analysis and provide insightful commentary on monthly and year-to-date performance against budget and prior year

  • Manage and oversee Accounts Receivable for one of the Singapore asset, including collaborate with operations to drive AR recovery efforts, monitor customer payment collections, and conduct income audits of POS transactions.

  • Proactively anticipate accounting issues and formulate solutions on a timely basis

  • Oversee and review financial reporting submitted by overseas investees, ensuring consistency and accuracy across the group

  • Prepare quarterly GST filing

  • Prepare PCG report and annual analysis for shareholders

  • Assist in verifying staff claim and payment for vendors

  • Coordinate with external auditors to facilitate smooth and timely completion of annual statutory audits

  • Liaise with tax agents for timely tax compliance filing and queries from IRAS

  • Support ad-hoc tasks and projects as required, such as annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting exercise

  • Any other duties assigned

Requirements:

  • Degree or professional qualification in Accountancy or CPA

  • At least 3 years of accounting experience with exposure to group consolidation preferred

  • Good understanding of Singapore financial reporting standards and tax rules

  • Proficient in MS Office – Word, Excel and PowerPoint

  • Proficient in Microsoft Dynamics Business Central, Yardi Voyager and Sigma Prophix or similar accounting system.

  • Experience in the real estate industry is preferred

  • Prior audit experience an added advantage
