Accounting Associate - Level II
Job Summary:
Supports account reconciliation and analysis, journal entry preparation and data entry. Supports the month-end close process. Performs activities under moderate supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
Compiles, consolidates and conducts basic analysis of accounting and finance information. Prepares basic journal entries. Performs monthly and annual account reconciliations. Assists with preparation of tables, charts and other exhibits for reports. May perform less complex accounting projects or participate as a team member on more complex projects. Performs ad hoc reporting requests as needed.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:
Bachelor’s degree in commerce / finance (B.Com / M.Com) or relevant field
Experience:
3–5 years of experience in Accounts Receivable / Customer Collections preferred

Department: Finance – Accounts Receivable
Location: IOC , Pune
key Responsibilities
- Book and apply customer receipts accurately on the same day.
- Respond to stakeholder and customer emails within the standard TAT.
- Handle BU/customer queries professionally to ensure smooth customer interaction.
- Ensure timely resolution of issues raised by Business Units.
- Work effectively with customers and BUs to drive proactive collections.
- Daily receipt booking & application
- Provide Statement of Accounts to Business Units as and when required.
- Month-End & Periodic Reporting
- Continuously monitor and reduce unapplied cash/credits through proactive follow-up.
- Lead/participate in process improvement initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to SOX controls and support internal/external audits.
- Support standardization and documentation of SOPs.
- Strong ownership and accountability

- Ability to work independently and collaborate within a team
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of Accounts Receivable and Collections
- Good understanding of debit/credit notes, TDS, GST and reconciliation
- Ability to interpret customer accounts and ageing analysis
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; Power BI / Power Query added advantage
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in high-volume processes
