Accounting Manager

You will own core accounting operations, manage the month-end close and financial reporting, and oversee day-to-day accounting with a focus on scalability and automation. You will support the year-end audit and work directly with external auditors, design and document internal controls, partner on special projects and ad-hoc reporting, and identify and implement process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Manage the month-end close and reporting process
• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations
• Improve scalability and automation of accounting processes
• Design, document, and improve internal controls and accounting policies
• Support the year-end financial audit and work with external auditors
• Partner cross-functionally on special projects and ad-hoc reporting
• Identify and implement workflow and infrastructure improvements
• Act as a hands-on contributor in a lean team environment

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred or in progress)
• 4–7+ years of progressive accounting experience (public accounting and/or high-growth startup experience preferred)
• Solid understanding of US GAAP and financial reporting requirements
• Experience managing or supporting month-end close processes
• Familiarity with ERP systems (NetSuite experience a plus)
• Exposure to audit processes and working with external auditors
• Experience improving or building accounting processes, controls, or automation
• Fintech or other high-growth industry experience is a bonus
