Accounts Specialist

The Accounts Specialist plays a vital role in advancing the ministry\u2019s mission by ensuring accurate, efficient, and reliable daily financial and administrative functions.

Responsibilities<\/b>

  • Accurately process all accounts receivable transactions, including checks, online payments, and donations.
    <\/li>
  • Prepare and distribute timely monthly billing statements via email.
    <\/li>
  • Receive and review invoices, collaborating with the Executive Administrator to ensure prompt payment.
    <\/li>
  • Provide responsive support to Adult & Teen Challenge affiliates regarding accounts, invoices, and recurring payments.
    <\/li>
  • Deliver reconciled month\-end reports to CPAs with precision and consistency.
    <\/li>
  • Support the Executive Administrator with assigned tasks, including preparation for the annual audit.
    <\/li>
  • Oversee operations of the ATC online store across multiple platforms, ensuring order fulfillment, strong vendor coordination, and excellent customer service.
    <\/li>
  • Monitor and manage inventory, including creating purchase orders and maintaining supplier communication.
    <\/li>
  • Coordinate and execute annual inventory counts.
    <\/li>
  • Partner with internal departments to ensure product availability for events and initiatives.
    <\/li>
  • Administer and process Light for the Lost grants within the Zoho platform.
    <\/li>
  • Assist with credit card reconciliation to maintain accurate financial records.
    <\/li>
  • Provide backup phone coverage, maintaining a courteous and helpful first point of contact for callers.

    • High school diploma required; a 2\- or 4\-year degree in accounting or business is preferred (but not required).
      <\/li>
    • Equivalent combinations of education and relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
      <\/li>
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with QuickBooks Online (QBO) strongly preferred<\/b>.
      <\/li>
    • Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
      <\/li>
    • Self\-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently.
      <\/li>
    • Excellent problem\-solving skills with attention to detail.
      <\/li>
    • Demonstrated technological aptitude and willingness to learn new systems.
