Accounts Sub Manager

Responsibilities

1. Manage the day-to-day accounting routine duties which includes:

  • Distribution of Banking system batching reports to key business units
  • Compilation of daily system-generated management reports and investigate exception flagged in these reports with respective key business units
  • Preparation of MAS monitoring reports such as MCB, MLA, QL, AMR
  • Perform Nostro Bank Reconciliation to ensure unreconciled items are followed up and investigate any abnormity on a timely basis
  • Perform journal entries for interest income/expense/service fee relating to Nostro/Vostro Bank accounts
  • Compilation and binding of Journal entries vouchers and ensure internal maintenance of Journal vouchers are met
  • Perform batching checks for error/suspense flagged by Banking system and execute end of day batching

2. Manage the periodic accounting routine duties which includes:

  • Generate and distribution of periodical system-generated reports via Banking system to key business units
  • Preparation of fortnightly, monthly, quarterly, half-annual and annual management reports, regulatory reporting and statistical survey and ensure timely submission to management, MAS, IRAS and DOS.
  • Obtain regular internal clearance from key business units to facilitate the preparation of the MAS returns and GST return
  • Perform pre-submission checks through variance analysis for MAS and GST returns and investigate the reason for any exception variance flagged
  • Escalating Customers’ Returned mail for Head of Operation/KYC action and prepare the Monthly Customers' Statement Returned Mail Log for Compliance Officer’s review
  • Perform half-annual Inter-branches Interest income/expense reconciliation
  • Assists in year-end audit by providing documentation/schedules required by Internal/External Auditors and preparation/replying of Nostro/Vostro Audit Confirmation
  • Packing and maintaining records of past year reports to be send to warehouse for storage

3. Other adhoc routine duties which includes:

  • Attending tovariance queries raised by regulator for submitted MAS returns
  • Participate in adhoc projects such as UAT report verification for new reporting implementation
  • Ad hoc duties assigned by manager

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum Diploma in Accounting and financial related courses
  • Fresh Graduates welcome to apply
