ACMV Mechanical Engineer

Key Responsibilities

-Conduct site surveys and inspections as required by the client/owner to assess project requirements and site conditions.

-Perform preliminary engineering design and calculations for ACMV systems, including:

  • ACMV equipment selection and sizing

  • Ducting system layout and airflow calculations

  • Chilled water / condenser water piping system layout and calculations

-Develop preliminary structural coordination designs, including:

  • Concrete plinths for ACMV equipment

  • Maintenance platforms and access structures

  • Equipment seating platform

-Prepare and generate shop drawings and technical drawings using AutoCAD for submission and construction purposes.

-Review and verify material specifications for ACMV equipment and components.

-Verify and define the installation scope and requirements for ACMV systems.

-Propose design improvements and optimization solutions to enhance system performance, reliability, and operational efficiency.

-Review operation and maintenance (O&M) manuals and develop relevant inspection and commissioning checklists for ACMV equipment.

-Verify and document equipment warranty scope and coverage after system installation and commissioning.

-Provide technical support and coordination with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders during project execution.

-Perform other ad-hoc engineering or technical tasks as assigned.



Qualifications

-Diploma or bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline.

-Minimum 3 years of experience in ACMV system design, calculations, and engineering coordination.

-Experience in HVAC/ACMV system design, including ducting and piping layout.
