After School Speech/SEL Coach (Jack August)
Intro/Program Description: Goddard Riverside is partnering with the Susan Rubenstein Foundation to ease poverty and expand opportunities for children and families by operating a high-quality afterschool program on the Upper East Side. The Jack August Afterschool Program, located at the Stanley Isaacs Community Center, serves young people from the Isaacs/Holmes NYCHA development. The program operates during the school year on weekdays, providing safe, enriching, and developmentally appropriate activities during non-school hours. Programming is intentionally designed to reflect the needs, interests, and strengths of the local community.
Position Summary: The Afterschool/Behavior IEP Coach provides targeted coaching and support to students with identified communication, behavior, social-emotional, and IEP related needs. The role reinforces expressive/receptive language development, articulation, emotional regulation, and positive behavior strategies
within an enrichment setting. This is a coaching role, not a clinical or therapeutic and designed to complement
school-based IEP goals through structured support, relationship building, and skill practice.
Schedule: Monday-Friday 1pm - 6pm (subject to scheduling)
Hourly Range: $32.00-$42.00
Candidates must have the required qualifications to be considered for the position. The salary offer will be based on the candidate’s number of years experience in the exact or comparable position and additional preferred qualifications will be taken into account.
