As an Aircraft Parts Painter, you’ll be responsible for preparing the parts and application of the coatings required of the aircraft parts.

What you’ll do:

  • Prepare, clean, sand, treat, mask, and inspect aircraft parts and components for paint application in accordance with engine manuals and work instructions.

  • Operate power tools and precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers) to prepare surfaces and assess imperfections.

  • Mix, blend, and apply aerospace paints, sealants, and specialty coatings according to manufacturer specifications and required mixing ratios.

  • Interpret maintenance manuals, paint specifications, and work instructions to determine surface preparation, masking, drying times, and coating requirements.

  • Maintain paint equipment, spray booths, tools, and consumable inventory, ensuring materials remain within shelf life and available for production.

  • Accurately document completed work to ensure regulatory compliance and traceability.

  • Follow all company policies, safety and environmental procedures, support production goals through overtime as needed, and perform additional duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of Paint Booth experience in Automotive and/or Aviation industries

  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Ability to sit or stand for at least 50% of shift

Desired Skills

  • Knowledge of all types of paints and thinners.

  • Qualified to prepare parts for proper application of paint, as per set standards.

  • Able to minimize rework through proficiency in paint preparation and application.

  • Previous experience working in aerospace, manufacturing or maintenance environments.

  • Flexible with shift work or overtime.
