What You Can Expect:

  • Ensure that accurate pricing is provided to sales staff and the customer
  • Develop costing and pricing models based on market conditions and trends, by using both historical and market data.
  • Support sales staff by negotiating with customers to secure additional opportunities. Ensure customer satisfaction through continuous measurement of turnaround times on rate requests.
  • Manage low margin lanes and customers and develop a strategic plan to increase the profitability of these opportunities
  • Works independently using analytical skills to determine the correct process to build accurate pricing and increase the profitability for each customer
  • Communicate customer agreement status to customers, sales and operation.
  • Manage annual price increase process
  • Perform partnering with procurement, product managers and sales department to ensure integrated profit maximizing approach Understands the complexities of different pricing structures and continuously look for opportunities to improve processes
  • Provide costing, pricing, margin analysis for Sales and Product Managers

Provide feedback to local management and sales managers regarding competitor activity

What You Bring:

  • University Degree in International Management, Transport and Logistics or related.
  • Minimum experience of 6 years in freight forwarding.
  • Ability to balance operational priorities with business imperatives.
  • Knowledge and courses in relation to ADR, IATA, IMDG.
  • Outgoing personality and the ability to communicate effectively in a diverse multicultural environment.
  • Ability to communicate well in written and spoken English.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to listen carefully to the customer and understand the customer's requirements.
  • Ability to respond to the customer with a winning service offer.
  • Effective change agent with the ability to adjust the change approach based on circumstances.
  • Team player and ability to communicate effectively in a diverse multicultural environment.
  • Results Orientation and persistence in meeting the challenges and objectives of the day to day.
