Title: ALM Solutions Consulting Engineer (Presales)

We are looking for a customer-facing presales professional who combines technical expertise in PTC ALM solutions (Codebeamer) with the ability to understand customer development challenges and translate them into value-driven solutions.

This individual plays a critical role in guiding customers through their ALM transformation journey by analyzing their development processes and recommending the most effective approaches leveraging PTC’s solutions.

The role requires strong communication skills to articulate PTC’s value to both technical users and mid-level stakeholders, while supporting the entire presales cycle—from initial engagement through technical validation and closure.

The Presales Engineer will also contribute to business growth by actively supporting sales opportunities and identifying new initiatives that expand PTC’s presence in the market.

Role Overview

This role focuses on understanding customer development environments, identifying challenges, and delivering value-driven consulting through ALM solutions. Beyond simple product demonstrations, this role defines customer development process challenges and presents optimal solutions based on PTC’s value.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead presales activities (demonstrations, PoCs, technical presentations)
- Analyze customer development processes and identify pain points
- Propose ALM strategies and solution architectures
- Present how PTC ALM solutions drive development process innovation
- Design and execute customer-specific demo scenarios
- Support Automotive, FAD, and Medical Device customers
- Execute PoC and technical validation activities
- Collaborate with Sales to drive opportunities and customer success

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree or higher in relevant fields
- Minimum 3 years of experience
- Experience in ALM, software lifecycle, embedded systems, or presales
- Understanding of requirements, testing, and configuration/change management
- Experience with tools (Jira, Polarion, Jama, etc.)
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate in English (written and spoken)

- Knowledge of ASPICE, ISO 26262
- Global customer experience
- Process improvement experience
