As an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, AME Fitting & Machining, you will be responsible for the manufacture, assembly, repair, and maintenance of aircraft components and mechanical systems in accordance with engineering standards, regulatory requirements, and production schedules.
The role supports both traditional fitting and machining activities and the growing CNC capability within the workshop, contributing to improved technical capability, precision manufacturing, and operational efficiency.
You’ll have –
- Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (Fitting/Machining) or equivalent
- Proven experience in fitting and machining within a precision engineering or maintenance environment
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and work to tight tolerances
- Experience operating lathe and/or CNC machining equipment
- Knowledge of maintenance procedures and relevant regulatory requirements, ideally within a safety-critical environment (aviation highly regarded)
- Strong commitment to safety, compliance and quality outcomes
- High attention to detail, with accurate documentation and reporting capability
- Ability to work effectively in a team, demonstrate accountability and maintain high professional standards
- Customer-focused mindset with flexibility to support operational requirements, including shift work
