AML Due Diligence Analyst

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct onboarding, periodic, and trigger event reviews for high-risk individual and corporate clients.
  • Perform Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) reviews in accordance with MAS regulations and internal AML/KYC policies.
  • Assess customer risk profiles, ownership structures, source of wealth/funds, and transactional activities to identify potential AML/CFT risks.
  • Review and validate supporting documentation to ensure completeness, accuracy, and regulatory compliance.
  • Provide AML/KYC advisory support to Business Units on onboarding, FATCA/CRS, and high-risk customer matters.
  • Identify and escalate suspicious activities or unusual transactions identified during customer reviews.
  • Assist with AML/KYC reporting, incomplete CDD tracking, management reporting, and audit/regulatory requests.
  • Support AML/KYC training initiatives and contribute to process improvement and control enhancement efforts.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of AML/CFT regulations, sanctions requirements, and financial crime typologies.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience within financial services, including at least 2 years of AML/KYC/CDD compliance experience.
  • Strong experience handling high-risk and complex client structures, including corporate entities, Trusts, Funds, VCCs, Correspondent Banking, and SWIFT RMA reviews.
  • Good understanding of MAS Notice 626, AML/CFT regulations, sanctions compliance, and FATCA/CRS requirements.
  • Strong analytical, investigative, and report-writing skills with high attention to detail.
  • ACAMS or ICA certification is advantageous.
