Analyst, BI & Analytics - Raffles and Fairmont Hotels & Resorts

Dashboard and report development

  • Design, create and maintain dashboards providing critical metrics and business intelligence to allow other commercial teams to better run their respective portfolios
  • Continuously optimize the user experience with reporting tools including Tableau to ensure needs are being met with minimal friction and frustration.
  • Achieve operational efficiency by automating routine reporting requests
  • Analyze, visualize, and deliver business intelligence to Revenue stakeholders to allow informed action
  • Provide reporting and analysis on Revenue performance & market performance to corporate, regional and property sales teams
  • Liaise with Central data teams to manage user on boarding, partake in Tableau training, maintain snowflake Data warehouse, and collaborate in other common areas of responsibility
  • Manage multiple projects, whilst maintaining daily/weekly reporting to various stakeholders.
  • Proactive implementation of AI from dashboard creation to reporting

Training & Support

  • Create and maintain documentation on all owned dashboards and reports including documents and video
  • Monitor customer support inbox for questions and promptly engage with users to assist
  • Troubleshoot and triage any dashboard or data issues including follow-ups
  • Maintain positive relationships with users including calls/chat support to walk through how-tos as needed
  • Maintain strong connection with central business performance team, sharing insights and recommendations based on performance
  • Run webinars as needed on new dashboards, refreshers, FAQs, etc
  • Document user requirements for creating new reports and enhancing existing ones
  • Support with new hotel onboarding and data feed connections.

Data Collection and Governance

  • Source data from relevant sources including but not limited to Property Management Systems, Revenue Management Systems, outside benchmarking data vendors and other data sources
  • Design and build data warehouse structures to allow reporting on collected data
  • Monitor daily, weekly, or monthly data flows to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Put in place data governance structures to quickly alert of discrepancies and gaps
  • Manage processes to correct data deficiencies as quickly as possible

Research and Analysis

  • Conduct ad-hoc analysis to answer business questions, both asked and anticipated, covering the full cycle of requirements gathering, data discovery, methodology creation, execution, communication documentation, results presentation, and addressing follow-on questions
  • Supply quarterly macro-economic outlook with the aim of guiding hotels and corporate for future topline planning
  • Conduct topline budget/ forecast preparation and support presentation/ defense against various stakeholders.

Required Skills/Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with Tableau
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with databases like Snowflake and SQL query languages
  • Familiarity with programming scripts and automation such as Shell scripting, VBA, Power Automate, etc
  • Strong knowledge of hotel topline business
  • High level understanding of hospitality market
  • Professional written and verbal communications skills
  • Four year degree from an accredited university in Hospitality, Marketing, Computer Science, Engineering, Quantitative Analysis or a related field

Language skills

  • Speaking and writing English
  • French knowledge an asset
