Do you enjoy building strong customer relationships and have an interest in Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Know Your Customer (KYC), and Client Due Diligence (CDD)? Are you looking to join a collaborative, high-performing team that plays a critical role in protecting customers and the bank from financial crime?

We're seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Client Due Diligence Analyst to join our Hamilton office. In this role, you'll partner closely with Agribusiness Managers and internal stakeholders to deliver a seamless customer experience while ensuring compliance with regulatory and risk management requirements.

Work alongside our Managers to make customer due diligence simple, seamless, and efficient for our agribusiness clients!

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete ongoing Client Due Diligence (CDD) reviews for existing customers.

  • Conduct Event Driven Reviews (EDRs) when significant changes occur within customer relationships.

  • Support Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) activities for higher-risk customers.

  • Gather, analyse and verify customer information to meet KYC and regulatory requirements.

  • Assist in the identification and escalation of potential AML, fraud, and financial crime risks.

  • Partner with Agribusiness Managers and key stakeholders to ensure an efficient and customer-focused review process.

  • Help ensure compliance with local and international regulatory obligations, including FATCA and Common Reporting Standards (CRS).

  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency throughout the customer lifecycle.

About you | Ō pūkenga

You'll bring experience from a KYC, CDD, AML, Compliance, Financial Crime, or banking environment, along with a passion for delivering great customer outcomes. Agribusiness knowledge is an advantage.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Previous experience in KYC, AML, CDD, EDD, Compliance, Risk, Financial Crime, Banking Operations, or a related field.

  • Exposure to agribusiness banking or the agricultural sector is advantageous.

  • Tertiary qualification in Finance, Economics, Criminology, Agriculture, Business, or a related discipline is preferred but not essential.

  • ACAMS certification or working towards certification would be highly regarded.

You'll confidently demonstrate the following (or have the capacity to upskill quickly):

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to easily build relationships with key internal and external clients

  • A strong team focus

  • A tertiary qualification in Finance, Economics, Criminology or Agriculture (preferred but not essential).

  • ACAMs preferable
