Analyst, Credit
Key Responsibilities:
- Credit Evaluation
- Review and analyze financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements) of prospective and existing customers.
- Assess credit applications and determine appropriate credit limits and payment terms.
- Pull and interpret credit bureau reports (e.g., D&B, Experian, Equifax Business).
- Risk Assessment
- Identify financial, operational, and reputational risks associated with extending credit.
- Monitor existing accounts for signs of deteriorating creditworthiness.
- Recommend account holds, credit limit adjustments, or collection actions when warranted.
- Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare detailed credit reviews and risk assessment reports for management review.
- Maintain accurate records of credit decisions, supporting documentation, and customer correspondence.
- Produce periodic portfolio risk reports and aging analyses.
- Collaboration
- Work closely with Sales, Accounts Receivable, and Collections teams to balance commercial opportunity with risk.
- Partner with Compliance and Fraud teams to flag suspicious onboarding activity.
- Support customer onboarding by validating identity, ownership, and financial health.
- Policy & Process
- Apply company credit policies consistently and recommend updates as conditions change.

Required Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: 2–5 years of credit analysis, commercial lending, or financial analysis experience.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong proficiency in financial statement analysis and ratio analysis.
- Experience with credit bureau platforms (D&B, Experian, Equifax).
- Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) preferred.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking ability.
- Clear written and verbal communication.
- Sound judgment under ambiguity and ability to defend recommendations.
- Detail oriented with strong follow up skills
- Proactive and self-motivated
The base salary range for this position is $65,000 - $90,000 per year (CAD). The posted range reflects the expected base salary for this position. Actual base salary will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and experience, as well as internal equity considerations. Offers are typically made within the range and not at the top of the range to support growth and progression. This position is eligible to participate in a short-term incentive plan. Incentive awards, if any, are based on business and individual performance and are not guaranteed.
