Analyst, Customer Relationship Marketing

About the Team
You will be part of the Customer Relationship Marketing team responsible for managing and optimizing the advertising investment across our paid marketing channels including digital, email, and print. Our job is also to ensure we are innovating and executing marketing campaigns across programs and channels that drive new customer acquisition as well as increased mindshare and wallet share with our existing customer base. You will ensure our marketing investments are delivering against core KPI’s and that your marketing campaigns are aligned with the brand’s key initiatives and growth strategies.

About the Role
As an Analyst, you will focus on driving sales by helping optimize the digital, email, and print programs for the brand you are assigned to. Key responsibilities include developing and executing the email circulation plan, analyzing performance to identify trends and opportunities, testing of content and marketing messaging, digital campaign budget management and reporting on KPI’s. A successful candidate should have experience in marketing and possess strong analytical skills, and attention to detail. You must have the ability to build strong cross-functional relationships and work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing multi-channel retail environment.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for weekly and ad-hoc email reporting, including customer engagement metrics, trends, test results, campaign performance and creative performance.
  • Maintain key tracking documents including email circulation plan, digital spend pacing, and more.
  • Meticulously track spend, revenue, and KPIs on a weekly basis and make investment recommendations as necessary.
  • Leverage available analytic tools to gather data and make marketing strategy and investment decisions.

  • Partner cross-functionally to test all email campaign links for accuracy prior to launch.

  • Assist in managing monthly financial forecast and accruals.

  • Proactively work with team members, email deployment team, digital execution team, brand marketing, finance, customer analytics, and other cross-functional groups.

  • Interact with peers on other Williams-Sonoma, Inc. brands to share best practices and test results.

  • Analyze competitive marketplace and follow Marketing trends.

Criteria

  • BA/BS Degree in Marketing, Business, or related field or equivalent work experience
  • 1+ year of experience in Digital, Email or E-Commerce Marketing
  • Enthusiastic and self-motivated with a strong interest in Email
  • Ability to lead projects proactively
  • Analytical problem-solver with insatiable curiosity
  • The ability to see trends and to extract actionable insights from data to drive results
  • Strong organization and interpersonal skills; excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to prioritize, work on multiple projects, and be flexible
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (v-lookups, pivot tables)
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to build effective relationships within the team and with cross functional partners & vendors
  • Experience with a web analytics system is a plus
  • Proven track record in managing and optimizing a budget to ROI goals
  • This role requires being onsite in the San Francisco, California office Monday through Thursday

The expected starting pay range for this position is $71,000-$83,000. Applicable pay ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. In addition to competitive pay, compensation may include a variety of other components like benefits, paid time off, merit, and bonus opportunities.
