The Distribution Data Stewardship (DDS) Team’s mission is to steward AllianceBerstein's sales, fund product and client data, ensuring that it is accurate and presented in a usable format to the global sales organizations and clients, as relevant. To accomplish this the team uses various applications, tools, and data interfaces, as well as completes projects for improving processes and mitigating risks.

There are a wide variety of tasks completed by the team that help to ensure the accuracy of the data, including but not limited to, processing and preparing raw data feeds, aligning wholesalers to their correct territories, monitoring for duplication, updates of data on the systems, and preparing the data for the commissions processes and reporting.

As stewards of the firm’s data, whether it be sales, client, or product related, the key responsibilities of this entry level role will be to support the following responsibilities on the team:

  • Work with sales teams to set up new relationships.

  • Management and maintenance of relationships in Salesforce to ensure data integrity rules are followed and best practices for these relationships are followed.

  • Monitor data governance reports, investigate exceptions, and resolve through the process until completion.

  • Research requests from sales teams and retrieval of necessary data to support requests.

  • Other responsibilities that may be assigned to the person based on skill and capacity to support.

The person in this role will have an opportunity to strengthen skills while working with varying levels of AB staff. This person will be exposed to all areas of AB’s global institutional sales teams. Depending on success of the person in this role, there are various career path opportunities including positions with more technical responsibility or more management experience including people/process or project management.

Qualifications, Experience, Education:

  • Experience in accounting and/or finance background an advantage

  • Distribution support role (sales and/or marketing platforms) an advantage

  • Must have strong relationship/customer management experience

  • Proven analytical abilities

Skills:

  • As there is a desire to maintain a high level of stewardship over the data that is under the care of the team, attention to detail is a must.

  • Intellectual curiosity is a required character trait.

  • Ability to communicate, both in written and verbal means, at all levels with clarity, poise, maturity, and precision.

  • Must possess an ability to work on his/her own, but also participate as an active team member.

  • Client focused and results-oriented, diligent, and works with a sense of urgency.

  • Assertive, responsible for his/her own work (self-directed), have a strong affinity for defining work in deliverables, and be willing to commit to deadlines.

  • Ability to follow procedures and write new procedures for new processes that are clear and able to be used by all team members.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and propensity to quickly learn new applications, processes, and areas of business.

  • Salesforce/Microsoft Dynamics CRM skills are a plus.

  • SQL skills are a plus

Work Shift: 12:30 PM to 9 PM IST
