Analyst - Operations

IT Asset, Application, and Server Administrator

  • Administer, maintain, and support enterprise Software Asset Management (SAM) platforms including Flexera and ServiceNow SAM Pro.
  • Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot integrations between Flexera, ServiceNow SAM Pro, SCCM/MECM, JAMF, Active Directory, cloud platforms, and other inventory data sources.
  • Manage software asset lifecycle processes including software discovery, normalization, reconciliation, license compliance, entitlement management, and optimization activities using Flexera and ServiceNow SAM Pro.
  • Develop and maintain software compliance dashboards, operational reports, and executive-level asset management reporting utilizing Flexera, ServiceNow, SQL Server, Power BI, and related tools.
  • Support software license harvesting, reclamation, and optimization initiatives, including identification and recovery of licenses assigned to terminated or inactive users.
  • Serve as the primary administrator and technical support resource for Flexera and ServiceNow SAM Pro platforms, coordinating issue resolution with vendor support teams.

Experience

  • 3–6 years of experience in systems administration, software asset management, or infrastructure support roles.
  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on administration experience with Flexera and ServiceNow SAM Pro.
  • Demonstrated experience with software license compliance, software entitlement management, software reconciliation, and software asset optimization processes.
  • Experience integrating Flexera and/or ServiceNow SAM Pro with SCCM/MECM, Active Directory, JAMF, cloud platforms, and vendor software portals.
  • Strong understanding of software licensing models, compliance reporting, software audits, and software asset governance practices.
  • In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP networking, SCCM/MECM, Active Directory, VMware vCenter, and scripting technologies.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Flexera and/or ServiceNow SAMpro certifications are preferred.
