Analyst, Public Perception and Communications (1-year contract)
Verian is looking for an Analyst to join our Public Perception and Communications team. Someone who is passionate towards helping to build a better public realm in Singapore, and values getting things done right.
The successful candidate will need to be comfortable with using a multidisciplinary approach to tackling research and data challenges, using structured as well as unstructured data, energetic, curious, detailed, able to multi-task, and enjoy working in a close-knit team to ensure the successful delivery of client programmes
Responsibilities:
- Support the planning and implementation of qualitative and quantitative research studies end to end, which can include facilitation of in-depth interviews, focus group discussions, design and quality checking of data collection materials, monitoring of online and offline survey completion, and liaising with internal and external partners.
- Data management, cleaning, preparation and analysis.
- Conduct reviews of academic literature, as well as trends and social media scans.
- Prepare and deliver clear, concise, accurate and impactful reports and presentations.
- Provide effective and timely client servicing.
Key Requirements:
- Have at least 1 year of relevant experience in qualitative and quantitative research, preferably in Singapore and in the public space.
- Have a background in the Social Sciences or Communications, including but not limited to Political Science, Sociology, Psychology, Behavioural Insights, Statistics, Social methods research, etc.
- Comfortable with performing data analytics and related tasks, including proficiency with Microsoft Excel, and familiarity with R, SQL and/or other coding languages.
- Good time management, organised, deadline driven and able to multi-task.
- Works well under pressure, with the patience and perseverance to see through projects with long timelines.
- Strong verbal, written and presentation skills,
- Familiar with data visualisation and creating infographics is a plus.
- Familiar with setting up and designing dashboards (e.g. Power BI, Tableau etc.) is also a plus.
- Bilingual – English and mother tongue (Chinese/Malay/Tamil).
