Animation Artist (f/m/d)

  • Work hands-on in Unreal Engine 5 across multiple active game projects.

  • Create, implement and optimize high-quality animations for both humanoid and non-humanoid characters.

  • Produce animations directly in Unreal Engine.

  • Set up and maintain animation systems in UE5, including Animation Blueprints, Control Rig, State Machines and Sequencer workflows.

  • Implement in-game cinematics, cutscenes and scripted animation sequences.

  • Collaborate closely with designers, programmers, artists and technical artists in agile development teams of up to 15 people.

  • Contribute to several projects simultaneously while maintaining quality and consistency.

  • Help improve animation workflows, pipelines and production efficiency.

  • Define specifications and briefs for outsourced animation work, including feedback and handover processes.

  • Contribute to exciting game titles across multiple platforms.

  • Work alongside a passionate and experienced development team.

  • Primarily work with Unreal Engine 5, contributing hands on work directly in the projects.

  • Create and optimize animations - both for humanoids (biped) and non-humanoids - in UE or in CC tools (preferably in blender).

  • Set up and work with animations in UE4/5, including control rig and animation blueprint systems.

  • Implement sequences and cutscenes.

  • Work in an agile project team with up to 15 people.

  • Take part in several projects at a time.

  • Improve workflows and pipelines.

  • Work on awesome game titles for various platforms.

  • Create specifications and briefs for outsourced work and handle handovers and feedback.

  • Work with a competent, passionate team of developers.

  • Strong knowledge of 3D animation workflows using Blender, Maya, 3ds Max, or similar software.

  • Experience working with Unreal Engine 5 animation systems and Animation Blueprints.

  • Understanding of rigging, skinning and character setup workflows.

  • Familiarity with modern real-time game production pipelines and industry-standard animation workflows.

  • Strong understanding of production tools, workflows and optimization practices.

  • Basic understanding of shaders, materials and PBR workflows.

  • Proactive mindset with a willingness to research, learn and share knowledge with the team.

  • Experience with modeling and texturing.

  • Basic 2D art or design skills.

  • Strong eye for visual quality, timingand polish.

  • Interest in bridging the gap between Art and Technical Art.

  • Experience creating shaders, VFX, particles, or procedural systems.

  • Advanced Blueprint knowledge in Unreal Engine.

  • Experience with cinematic workflows and Sequencer tools.

  • A collaborative team player who enjoys solving problems together.

  • Self-motivated, organized and reliable.

  • Comfortable communicating in English, both written and spoken.

  • Interested in working onsite with our team in Munich.
