Actively participates in student learning assessment. Instructs various courses in the Criminal Justice curriculum. Positions are usually open evenings, however, day-time slots are sometimes available. Courses could be face-to-face or web courses. Prepare syllabus according to board policy.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software. * Working knowledge of Bloom’s Taxonomy. * Working knowledge of the careers in criminal justice. * Knowledge of Blackboard.
Good oral and written communication skills. * Good organizational skills. * Good interpersonal skills.
Ability to adhere to student learning outcomes and course goals/objectives. * Ability to teach online and in the classroom to students with differing learning styles. * Ability to motivate students in online and classroom learning environments. * Ability to adopt and incorporate new and innovative teaching elements and technologies into online and classroom courses. * Ability to manage online and face-to-face classroom environments. * Ability to advise students with course selection. * Ability to build and strengthen community relationships in the criminal justice field.

Creates course syllabus.
Prepares lesson plan and syllabus according to board policy.
Keep accurate records and report information as necessary.

Minimum Education/Experience:
Masters degree in Criminal Justice or related field, OR Masters degree plus 18 graduate hours in Criminal Justice related topics.
Preferred candidate would have a master’s degree as indicated above and have extensive field experience.
