Application Development/Support Engineer (IT Level 2/Financial Industry)

• Manage and support the exchange’s business systems, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and continuous system enhancements as part of second-line support.
• Collaborate closely with business users to analyse requirements, design solutions, and oversee end-to-end implementation.

Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or Engineering
• Exposure to the full software development life cycle (SDLC) within large-scale financial systems.
• Minimum 2 years of development experience in at least one of the following programming languages: Java, JavaScript, or Python.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming concepts and relational database design.
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals, including mainstream communication protocols such as HTTP, TCP, and UDP.
• Experience working in Linux environments; strong shell scripting skills will be an advantage.
• Prior IT experience within the financial industry will be advantageous.
• Good verbal and written communication skills, with strong documentation capabilities.
