Application Engineer (Ref 26474)

Responsibilities

• Provide L1 / L2 (Day 2) support for production and non-production environments

• Investigate and resolve incidents, service requests, and defects within SLA timelines

• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures

• Provide workarounds and coordinate fixes with development teams

• Monitor application health, logs, and workflows

• Proactively identify and address system performance or availability issues

• Support batch jobs, APIs, and system integrations where applicable

• Assist in application deployments across UAT, and Production

• Perform post-deployment validation and support rollback if required

• Adhere to change and release management processes

• Troubleshoot application workflows and system integrations

• Perform data validation, fixes, and basic query analysis (SQL)

• Support report generation and ad-hoc data requests

• Document issues, resolutions, and known workarounds

Requirements

• Degree/ Computer Science / Computer Engineering in Information Technology, Information Systems, or Equivalent.

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in L1 / L2 application support roles.

• Familiarity with enterprise applications (web, APIs, microservices, batch jobs)

• Knowledge of SQL databases (MSSQL / Oracle)

• Exposure to application servers (e.g., IIS, Tomcat, WebSphere, JBoss)

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and time‑management skills.
